EMERGENCIES

In an Emergency please contact the nearest member of security or steward for help.

There is an onsite fire fighting team who are fully equipped to deal with any fires and are backed up by West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Services. There are fire observation towers located around the perimeter of the campsites. There are fire extinguishers located throughout the site and many of the stewards and security staff have been trained in fire safety in addition to the onsite fire fighting team.

There are medics onsite who are fully equipped to deal with all situations and have a fleet of 5 ambulances along with First Aid posts at the stages in the arena and one in the arena in addition to the main onsite hospital in the Village. The medics also have roving patrols and provide an Accident and Emergency facility with full resuscitation, GP facilities and surgeries and psychiatric treatment. There is a landing point for air ambulances if required.

WELFARE

The Welfare Tent is situated in the Village Area and is open 24 hours from 8am on Thursday to noon on Monday and offers general welfare, assistance and advice, a drugs advisory service, a needle exchange, counselling, a messages service and they will help distressed / missing people.

The Welfare Tent also offers a recovery area for patients from medical and emergency shelter in a Crash tent with camper mats and sleeping bags.

PHARMACY

The medics have pharmacy supplies onsite and arrangements with local hospitals for restocking.

Basic pharmacy supplies eg plasters, sunscreen etc will be available in the supermarket in the Village Area at the registered retail price.
The nearest pharmacy is at Tesco at Seacroft (shuttle buses run there from the onsite bus station at Yellow Gate).

The pharmacy at Tesco is open 24 hours on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, until 10pm on Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.

The opening hours for Bank Holiday Monday are not confirmed yet but are likely to be 10am to 6pm.

LEFT LUGGAGE

The left luggage facility is open 24 hours from noon on Thursday to noon on Monday and is located in the Village Area. This is also the point where any Lost Property found during the festival is sent.

The address for queries for lost property post event will be available from the Left Luggage Tent onsite and will be posted on the website.

INFORMATION TENT

The Information Tent is open from noon on Thursday to 1am Sunday night / Monday morning and is located in the Village Area.

The Information Tent handles a large variety of queries from festival goers, runs a message board and has details of all local transport services etc. The latest information on the running order is available at the Information Tent.

LOST CHILDREN / PEOPLE

Lost children are looked after by the Welfare team and all relevant agencies are contacted.
Lost people should go to the Welfare tent.

SAMARITANS

  • The Samaritans operate confidentially providing an ear and support for the distressed Festival goers.
  • They are available 24 hours per day during the event from noon on Thursday to noon on Monday and are situated in the Village Area.
  • They offer a confidential, non judgmental, listening service for anyone passing through a crisis who needs to talk.
  • They are particularly there for people who may be considering taking their own life.

    RECYCLING

    There are a number of recycling points onsite in the campsites.
    Take your full bin bags of general rubbish, bottles and cans here and exchange them for a voucher for a free can of Carling form the Campsite bar.

    SUPERMARKET

    There is a supermarket in the Village Area stocking most general provisions such as cigarettes, toiletries, ready meals, snacks, confectionary, drinks etc for sale at the registered retail price.

    FIREWOOD

    Leeds City Council have again given us the go ahead to allow small campfires fuelled by clean wood in the campsites but not bonfires. Small campfires are ones where the flame itself is below knee height and less than one pace wide. 

    They will be monitored and will have to be put out if they are exceeding these limits. We have a firewood trader onsite so that you can buy clean wood for your small campfires. Campfires are not allowed in the arena or in the car parks.

    BARS

    There are several bars in the arena and one in the Village area. They are all cash only. Water points on site are drinking water safe.

    ARENA ENTRANCE

    The following items may not be brought into the arena:

    Cans, glass, alcohol, opened plastic bottles, illegal substances, portable laser equipment and pens, unauthorised professional film or video equipment, audio recorders, fireworks and flares.

    All items will be confiscated.

    No glass is permitted anywhere in the campsites or arena. Only sealed plastic bottles of water under 500ml size will be permitted into the arena.

    FOOD STALLS

    There are a variety of food stalls throughout the site.

    TOILETS AND SHOWERS

    There are toilet blocks in the arena. The campsite toilets are located outside the campsites around the perimeter fenceline and they are non-flammable. All toilets have hand-washing facilities.

    There are teams of internal and external environmental health monitors checking each toilet block throughout the festival in order to report any sanitation issues.

    Please report any problems to the nearest CAT member or steward.

    There are free showers in the Village area.

    WATER

    There are drinking water points throughout the campsites and arena. They are all signed as suitable for drinking and the supply is tested daily. Any broken taps or flooding should be reported to the nearest steward or CAT member.

    There is a meeting point situated in the Village Area.

    BANKS AND CASHPOINTS

    There will be at least 24 cash point machines onsite in total.

    There will be 12 situated in the Village Area and 12 situated in the Arena. There will be a surcharge of £tba per transaction. They are open 24 hours.

    The nearest cash point apart from those onsite is at Tesco at Seacroft. Shuttle buses run there from the onsite bus station at Yellow Gate. The Information Tent has details of all the telephone numbers for reporting lost cards.
